The Basics: “Is this for me?”
What exactly is a transformational Wellness Coach?
Think of me as the architect of your personal evolution.
While traditional wellness focuses on the “symptoms”, like your diet, your sleep, or your stress levels, transformational coaching focuses on the source. We aren’t just looking to change what you do; we are looking to evolve who you are.
How we work together:
- Beyond the “Fix-It” Mentality: Unlike therapy, which often looks backward to heal past wounds and stabilize your foundation, transformational coaching is future-focused. We acknowledge where you’ve been, but our eyes are firmly on the horizon.
- The Identity Shift: We identify the “Internal Operating System” that keeps you stuck in old cycles. By shifting your mindset and beliefs, the “healthy habits” stop feeling like a chore and start feeling like a natural expression of who you are.
- Building the Bridge: We look at where you are now and where your highest self lives. Together, we build a sustainable bridge made of nervous system regulation, intentional boundaries, and holistic practices that support your specific life transition.
The Result:
You don’t just “reach a goal” and go back to your old life. You undergo a shift that makes your old limitations obsolete. You don’t just feel better; you live differently.
How do I know if I’m ready for coaching?
If you feel “stuck,” overwhelmed by a transition, or simply know you aren’t living up to your full potential, you’re ready. The only requirement is a genuine willingness to experiment with new habits and a commitment to showing up for yourself.
Do I need a specific goal before we start?
Not at all! Many clients come to me feeling a general sense of “blah.” Part of our first few sessions will be dedicated to “finding the North Star”—uncovering what you actually want versus what you think you should want.
Logistics & Process
How long does a typical coaching engagement last?
While I offer single breakthrough sessions, most clients see the best results with a 3-month or 6-month commitment. Lasting behavioral change takes time to “stick,” and this allows us to navigate the inevitable hurdles together.
What happens during a typical session?
While every conversation is as unique as the person sitting across from me, our time together is designed to move you out of your “autopilot” and into intentional evolution.
We move through three distinct phases:
1. The Grounding & Alignment
We begin by dropping into the present moment. Rather than just listing “wins and losses,” we look at the patterns. We celebrate where you showed up as your future self and get curious about where the “old version” of you tried to take the wheel. This isn’t just reporting; it’s refining your awareness.
2. The Core Inquiry (The Shift)
This is where the transformation happens. Instead of just solving a “hurdle,” we look at the mindset creating the hurdle. We use deep inquiry and wellness-based tools to uncover the “why” behind the “what.” We aren’t just looking for a solution; we are looking for the insight that makes the problem disappear entirely.
3. Integration & Embodiment
We conclude by translating your internal shifts into your external reality. We move beyond “to-do” lists to co-create Intentional Experiments, 1–3 high-leverage practices designed to weave your new insights into the fabric of your daily life. This ensures that the transformation doesn’t just stay in our conversation; it takes root in your nervous system and becomes your new natural state.
Is coaching done in person or virtually?
I offer sessions via [Google Meet, Phone or In Person sessions in the Barrie, On area]. This allows you to be in your most comfortable environment—whether that’s your home office or your favorite park bench—without the stress of a commute.
Investment & Privacy
Is coaching covered by insurance?
Generally, life and wellness coaching is not covered by traditional health insurance. However, some clients are able to use HSA/FSA funds or get reimbursed by their employers’ professional development budgets. I recommend checking with your provider!
Is our work together confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is my priority. Everything shared in our sessions stays between us, governed by a professional Code of Ethics, with the only exceptions being legal requirements or safety concerns.
